JOB PURPOSE

This position is responsible for accurately and efficiently correcting minor machine malfunctions, process fills and jackpots and enhance the guests’ gaming experience to maximize slot handle.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Assists with payment of slot jackpots, ticket fills and equipment jams.
  • Repairs minor slot machine malfunctions.
  • Notifies slot technicians when machine malfunctions or requires technical assistance.
  • Responds to guest questions, issues and concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Knowledgeable of casino including but not limited to hours of operations of casino, restaurants, and other amenities.
  • Promotes a work environment that is pleasant and desirable.
  • Performs all functions in accordance with applicable laws and gaming regulations, the mission and objectives of Royal Casino Curaçao, as well as established policies, procedures and controls.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • A High school diploma is required.
  • Able to occasionally lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to communicate clear and precise technical language verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work extended hours in support of business needs.

  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.

JOB PURPOSE

Maintains, installs, converts, and configures slot machines on assigned shift according to departmental plans. Participates in a team-oriented environment.

Key to ensure quality of guest service, efficiency, and compliance with compact and gaming regulations. Responsible for providing a high level of guest service and promoting a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for our guests and team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
  • Analyzes the performance of the electronic gaming devices, investigates problem areas and implements corrective action.
  • Reviews slot machine performance and departmental goals to determine and prioritize project schedules.
  • Acts as primary compliance officer for all slot repair activities.
  • Maintains an accurate, up to date and secure database.
  • Exhibits a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with our guests and fellow associates, assures that optimum guest service is maintained.
  • Performs daily or as scheduled, preventative maintenance on gaming devices of a predetermined number of validator units, ticket printers and card readers as specified by the Slots Manager, and ensures orderly additions  and /or changes to the Slot Floor.
  • Consistently follow machine entry procedures and repair procedures in order to pro-actively identify or prevent future equipment problems.
  • Safeguards all assigned assets upon install, build, conversion or reconfiguration.
  • Properly diagnose faulty equipment and troubleshoot to the sub-system level. (Hopper, Comparator, MPU Board, etc.)
  • Knows and complies with the gaming compact, and any other regulatory requirements necessary. 
  • Maintains the shelf validator stock, the shelf ticket printer stock and the shelf card reader stock in the slot performance shop at the predetermined quantities.
  • Maintains knowledge of database technology development through training courses,  seminars, and publications.
  • Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed, and directed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Associate's Degree in Electronic Technology plus three years experience in slot repair or video gaming repair, or a combination of education and experience to equal five years.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in slot management preferable in slot repair.
  • Experience in Slot Analysis is highly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clear and precise technical language verbally and in writing.
  • Advanced proficiency in word-processing, spreadsheets, database, electronic mail software.
  • Ability to work extended hours in support of business needs.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven ability to analyze and solve problems and resolve conflicts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
