JOB PURPOSE |
The role of a Surveillance Officer is to assure the
protection of the company’s assets, reputation and integrity, as well as
assures the overall safety of guests, employees and the property as a whole. |
RESPONSIBILITIES &
DUTIES |
· Monitoring
patrons, employees, gaming machines, tables, casino’s gaming floor area and
other designated areas. · Explaining
and enforcing house rules and inform Head of Surveillance in case of suspected
cheaters. · Conducts
surveillance observation on designated areas both as required by applicable
laws and as directed by surveillance management. · Operates
surveillance equipment such as CCTV surveillance systems, video printers,
video switchers and various computerized equipment. · Enforces
security if necessary; · Documents
suspicious activities/incidents that occurred in the casino or other areas of
the establishment. · Conducts
routine observations focused on funds-handling operational areas to determine
if breaks in established casino procedures have occurred. · Performs
various casino department video reviews to determine breaks in policy and/or
procedure along with documenting any found irregularities or deviations of
established processes. · Compiles
various reports focusing on accuracy and attention to detail, also ensuring
all paperwork is error free and completed in a timely manner. · Maintains
a high degree of confidentiality and protects the confidential nature of
casino department observations, recorded video and surveillance activities. · Ensures
that video is properly referenced and archived for potential future use. · May
testify in court. · Other
duties as may be assigned. · Observes
all table games to detect internal control violations, casino policy and/or
procedural violations to assist in the detection of external and internal
theft or cheating. · Monitor
slot machine access via slot tracking system. |
JOB QUALIFICATIONS |
· A
High school diploma is required. · Previous
experience in surveillance is preferred. · Previous
experience and knowledge of CCTV equipment and basic electronics is
preferred. |

The

be able to identify when cheating or any unusual, irregular or illegal
activities are, or have been present. · Must
be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. · Must
present a well-groomed appearance. · Must
have the ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in
all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business. · Must
have and/or acquire board knowledge of the various casino games offered, and
cheating techniques used to compromise these games and to be able to detect
when cheating or any unusual, irregular or illegal activities are, or have
been present. · Must
be able to understand the various departments’ policies and procedures and
understand when a violation has occurred. · Maintains
department confidentiality and integrity. · Must
be able to effectively communicate verbally and produce legible, accurate
reports. · Must
be able to use a computer and operate efficiently with Word and Excel. · Must
be able to read, write, speak and understand English, Papiamentu, Spanish and
Dutch. |
